On December 30 and 31, independent media outlets, such as Asia Plus, Vecherka, Avesta, Your.tj, as well as the state-owned newspaper Sadoi Mardum, TV Tochikiston and the state news agency Khovar received letters threatening that Tajik resources would be subjected to cyber-attacks because of offences committed by Tajik citizens in Russia. The unknown persons demanded that Tajik citizens stop coming to Russia and committing offences there.
