In January, when journalist Tea Giligashvili asked the Parliament for public information about the expenses of a Georgian Dream MPs’ visit to Italy, a copy of her letter was subsequently posted on a party-affiliated Facebook page questioning the legitimacy of her request. At the time, Georgia’s Media Advocacy Coalition denounced these actions, claiming that the Georgian Dream party “systematically uses the Facebook page to discredit political opponents, civil society organisations, critical media and journalists”.
