The court in Elista sentenced Tsedenov to 50 hours of community service. The YouTube blogger was streaming a live broadcast of the congress of the Oirat-Kalmyk people. He was charged with repeated violation of the procedure for organising a public event (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation), although the congress was held on private property and did not require approval.
