On April 6, the judge of the Criminal Court of Appeal Rubik Mkhitaryan filed a lawsuit against Editorial Office of Newspaper Zhoghovurd LLC with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, demanding refutation of the information considered libel and payment of compensation in the amount of AMD 3 million (over USD 7,500). The reason for the lawsuit was the article «Chaos in the Judicial System Continues: After Scandalous Correspondence, Candidate to the Supreme Judicial Council Rubik Mkhitaryan Withdraws Claim», published on March 12 on the website Armlur.am, owned by the mentioned LLC. The lawsuit is in the process of consideration.
