The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek released from custody the journalists of the project Temirov Live Zhoodar Buzumov and Maksat Tazhibek uulu, as well as former employees Tynystan Asypbekov and Saipidin Sultanaliyev. The court made this decision on April 9, changing the measure of restraint for the journalists from pre-trial detention to house arrest. Earlier, the court also released Temirov Live employees Saparbek Akunbekov and Akyl Orozbekov under house arrest, and Zhumabek Turdaliyev was released on his own recognisance. The police detained a total of 11 media representatives. All of them were charged under Part 3 of Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (calls for active disobedience to the lawful demands of representatives of the authorities and mass riots, as well as calls for violence against citizens).
