The Ministry of Internal Affairs filed a lawsuit against Khanov and Anton Kartavin, the independent deputy of the Novosibirsk City Council. They are demanded to pay RUB 3.02 million as compensation for overtime police work at the January 31 protest action in support of Alexey Navalny and other political prisoners. Both defendants were in the temporary detention centre under administrative arrest on that day.
