Ihar Kazmerchak, editor of the portal Orsha.eu and human rights defender, was summoned to the Investigative Committee for interrogation as a witness in the criminal case of the Human Rights Centre Viasna. He was given the bank cards seized during the searches, but his phones were not returned to him. Kazmerchak was already detained on July 8, when his flat was searched. Three days later, the journalist was released from the detention centre. His flat was searched on July 14 during the mass searches of human rights defenders and activists across Belarus.
