On March 20, blogger Mustafa Tursynbayev, the creator of the video channel Nukus Online, was sentenced by the Nukus District Court to five years of imprisonment under three articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan — Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 165 (extortion), Paragraph B of Part 2 of Article 168 (fraud), and Article 211 (bribery).
