The leader of All-Armenian National Statehood Party Artur Vardanyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against Editorial Office of Zhoghovurd Newspaper LLC and journalist of the same newspaper Sevak Vardumyan, demanding refutation of the information considered libel and compensation for the damage caused. The reason for the suit was the article «How did the accused in the attempt of terrorism appear in the National Assembly?», where the author Sevak Vardumyan asked a question — how could Artur Vardanyan, who is under criminal case, accused of the attempt of violent seizure of power, appear at the parliamentary hearings? The lawsuit is in the process of consideration.
