A citizen of Minsk, who was in the same cell with the freelance journalist of Radio Svaboda Andrei Kuznechyk in the detention centre on Akrestsina, told about the torturous conditions of detention. «In a cell designed for 4 people, there were at least 15 people, at peak moments, the number of detainees reached 19. Those detained under „political“ articles were not given parcels, they were not taken for showers or walks. They had to sleep on bare bunks without mattresses or on the floor. They were awakened for roll call twice every night: at 2 AM and 4 AM. Kuznechyk was asked for some access to administrating, as I understood», — he said after his release. Kuznechyk was detained on November 25, since then held behind bars on administrative articles. On December 23, 2021, it became known that a criminal case was opened against him.
