The court sentenced blogger Dzmitry Harbunou to one year and six months of imprisonment in a general regime colony. Judge of the Maskouski District Court of Brest Maria Oliferuk declared him guilty under Article 369 (insulting a representative of the authorities) and Article 368 (insulting the President of the Republic of Belarus) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. The basis for criminal prosecution were the comments left by Harbunou in social networks. Dzmitry Harbunou was detained almost two months ago and was kept in the pre-trial detention centre in Brest.
