On December 1, there was another wave of searches of the flats of journalists and human rights activists in Belarus. In Homiel, the officers of the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee for Homel Region searched Larysa Shchyrakova’s flat. As a result, they seized hard discs, flash drives, a mobile phone, photo and video equipment. Then, the journalist was taken for interrogation in the criminal case. Shchyrakova refused to testify against herself, she was verbally warned about responsibility for disclosure of details of the case and released.
