On June 3, lawyer Melineh Zakaryan filed a lawsuit against Shamshyan Media LLC with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, demanding to refute the information considered libel, apologize, and pay AMD 1,5 million (about USD 4,000) in compensation for insult, AMD 2,5 million (about USD 6,500) for libel, as well as state duty of AMD 160,000 (more than USD 415). The reason for the lawsuit was the article published on May 30 on Shamshyan.com and the Facebook page of the same name, «An Armenian, who for centuries has stood before the world with his respect for the elderly, is gone: a 72-year-old grandmother in extremely serious condition is on the street, and the lawyer is unwilling to postpone the eviction for a few days». The lawsuit is being considered.
