Kuznetsov became a defendant in a new criminal case on the creation of an extremist community (Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Moscow Department of the Federal Security Service opened a case against members of the movement Left Resistance. Kuznetsov was arrested in mid-September in Tomsk allegedly as one of the authors of the Telegram channel What to Do — they are charged with mass riots (Part 1.1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). On September 16, 2021, his flat was searched. The next day, the Tomsk court sent him to a pre-trial detention centre. Later, he was transferred to Moscow. On November 9, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow extended Kuznetsov’s detention until February 14, 2022.
