The Russian authorities have expelled the correspondent of the Spanish newspaper El Mundo Xavier Colás from the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs refused to extend his visa. The journalist had 24 hours to leave the country. He had worked in Russia for 12 years. Before his forced departure, police officers came to the journalist’s flat demanding that he stop covering the actions of female relatives of mobilised Russians.
