On January 5, the deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Khachatur Sukiasyan, representing the ruling Civil Contract faction, filed a lawsuit against Haylantranq Media LLC and Media Plus LLC with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, demanding to apologise, publish the judicial act, refute the information considered libel, as well as to pay compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the material «Black clouds of velvet racket over the head of Kirovsky plant: the buyer of the enterprise, auctioned in its own bank, is the driver of the Sukiasyan family», published on December 5, 2022, on the website Alternativ.am owned by the first of the mentioned LLCs, which was republished by the website Yerevan. today with a reference to the source, but under a different headline: «Sukiasyan family driver buys the plant pledged in Sukiasiyan’s bank: Alternativ.am». The lawsuit was accepted for production on January 16 and is in the process of consideration.
