On February 10, in Astana, author and host of the YouTube project Obozhayu Askhat Niyazov tried to get to a press conference with the Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region Daniyal Akhmetov, with whom the journalist has been trying to record an interview for several months. The film crew was not allowed to attend the press conference, demanding accreditation. The organiser of the event, the Athletics Federation, did not accredit the journalists. The film crew was accredited by the Prime Minister’s press service. Even despite this accreditation, the journalists were not allowed into the event, as they were not on the list.
