Detained Tajik journalist Khurshed Fozilov has been charged with public calls for violent change of the constitutional order of the Republic of Tajikistan using mass media or the Internet. The journalist is being held in a temporary detention centre in Khujand, according to people close to him. Khushbakht Fozilov, brother of the detained journalist, told Radio Ozodi on March 13 that he had met with Khurshed the previous day at the Khujand temporary detention centre with a lawyer present. According to him, a case has been opened against Khurshed Fozilov under Paragraph G of Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan. The journalist faces three to eight years in prison.
