On February 28, a police captain forced blogger and independent journalist Rinat Sagitov to come to the Shaykhontohur District Police Department of Tashkent for interrogation in the form of a «preventive conversation». The reason was his publications in the Telegram channel Voice of Gelsomino about chauvinistic statements by Sherzodkhon Kudratkhuja, rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications and former press secretary to the current president Mirziyoyev, when he was prime minister. After the interrogation, the texts about the high-ranking civil servant were deleted from the blogger’s social media accounts.
