On March 16, Armenian National Interests Fund CJSC and the Chairman of its Board of Directors Tigran Avinyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the founder of the news website Pastinfo.am, Pastinfo LLC, demanding to refute the information defaming honour, dignity, and business reputation and to pay compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the article published on the mentioned website, in which the incompatibility of the two positions held by Tigran Avinyan — Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund and Vice-Mayor of Yerevan — is noted. It is worth mentioning that the plaintiffs did not respond to the editorial request sent earlier to provide information on the subject. The lawsuit is in the process of consideration.
