On Altai, local Federal Security Service and Investigative Committee officers searched the flat of journalist and head of the project Anti-Corruption Committee Amyr Aytashev in the case of repeated discrediting of the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). It is unknown in what status Aytashev is in the criminal case and when the case was initiated. During the investigation, law enforcers seized Islamic literature and computer equipment. According to the operational footage, the reason for the prosecution could be Aytashev’s messages in the Telegram chat «Gorny Altai. Discussion», where the journalist corresponded with a participant in the war in Ukraine. Aytashev left Russia in December 2022 due to fears of criminal prosecution.
