After four months, the verdict in the case of the editor-in-chief of the automobile portal Autobusiness (ABW.ВY) Yulia Mudreuskaya became known. The Frunzensky District Court of Minsk (judge Alena Busheva) sentenced Mudreuskaya to 1.5 years of imprisonment in a penal colony on charges of participation in protests (Article 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus). The trial started on September 19, 2022, and was held in closed mode. Due to fears of persecution, Mudreuskaya’s relatives and colleagues refused to communicate with human rights defenders and journalists.
