The author of the Telegram channel Kozachkov Offside, journalist Mikhail Kozachkov, is a defendant in a lawsuit to protect the honour, dignity, and business reputation of the director of a school in Almaty. The reason for the lawsuit was a post of May 29 — a complaint of a reader about illegal cutting of trees on the territory of the school. Claims of the plaintiff concern the text of the complaint of the reader, which refers to the rudeness of the school director, negligent attitude, use of connections. The plaintiff demands to recognise the information disseminated in four phrases of the complaint as untrue, defamatory of business reputation, to oblige Mikhail Kozachkov to refute them in his Telegram channel, and to recover KZT 2 million from the journalist as compensation for moral damage. On October 26, the court dismissed the lawsuit in full.
