Since December 6, the website of the business media outlet Kursiv has been subjected to a complex cyberattack from IP addresses located in Mexico, Germany, Russia, Finland, and other countries. As of December 11, the number of requests amounted to almost 1.3 billion. Mass requests to the servers several times resulted in the media outlet’s website being inaccessible. Attacks include DDoS attacks, attempts to hack into corporate mail and corporate servers (recorded more than once); phishing attacks — attempts were made to send letters to media outlet employees from fake addresses masquerading as corporate addresses. The editorial staff cannot confidently name the initiators and perpetrators of the attacks. However, the media outlet Kursiv.Media has recently received several demands through unofficial channels not to cover a number of topics. As of December 21, the attacks on the website continued.
