A court in Almaty has ruled to charge opposition journalist, blogger and political activist Zhanbolat Mamay a penalty of KZT 140,000 (more than USD 300) for failure to comply with a court order. Namely — for refusal to remove the video «Bauyrzhan Baybek: corrupt business empire of the son of Nazarbayev’s classmate», published in YouTube. The court ruling is being appealed in the appeal instance.
