KZ.MEDIA’s Instagram page was deactivated a couple of hours after the publication of an interview with the daughter of a political prisoner — poet, publicist and social activist Aron Atabek. According to KZ.MEDIA editor-in-chief Irina Petrushova, the Instagram account was blocked for allegedly violating the terms of use. The blocking was appealed to the administration of the social network, but the situation was not resolved within a week.
