On May 11, the court announced the act by which it partially satisfied the lawsuit of the Yerevan State University Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan against the founder of the news website Yerevan.Today, obliging him to publicly refute the information considered libel, pay AMD 500,000 (about USD 1,250) as compensation for libel, AMD 50,000 for lawyer’s services and AMD 14,000 of state duty. The lawsuit was filed on August 27, 2021, demanding to refute the information considered as libel and to pay compensation of AMD 2 million, as well as to publicly apologise for the insult and to pay compensation of AMD 1 million.
