In the evening of August 22 in Aktau, where the film crew of Radio Azattyq — Saniya Toyken and Yerzhan Amirkhanov — were filming a report on the emergency situation at the Mangistau Nuclear Power Plant, the driver of an SUV hit the editorial office drone while the cameraman was preparing to launch it. The moment the car hit the drone was caught on surveillance footage. The video shows that the car drives into the pedestrian part of the road, moves at low speed, and changes direction at the last moment, after which the front wheel runs over the drone. «The reporter and cameraman were not injured, but the drone is disabled», — the media outlet said. According to Saniya Toyken, the driver fled the scene, then returned with a lawyer and said he was not going to compensate the damage.
