Journalists Islambek Dastan (news agency Turaninfo.kz) and Daniyar Alimkul (TV channel 7 Kanal) were summoned for interrogation by the police in connection with a pre-trial investigation under the article on dissemination of deliberately false information using telecommunications networks, initiated after the dissemination of a video in connection with the explosions on August 26 on the territory of a military unit. The police believe that media representatives spread false information «about the illegal storage of shells on private property». Alimkul is in the status of a witness with the right to defence. Dastan is summoned to the police as a witness.
