The Second Western District Military Court in Moscow has ordered compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital for the Nizhny Novgorod-based blogger and activist Alexey Onoshkin, accused of spreading «fakes» about the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and calls to terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). In this regard, he was released from criminal liability. Since October 2022, Onoshkin has been under compulsory treatment in a general hospital with less strict conditions of detention. The reason for criminal proceedings were a post in VKontakte about the destruction of the Drama Theatre in Mariupol and comments in 2020-2021 mentioning the armed struggle of Chechens for separation from Russia. He was deprived of liberty since August 16, 2022.
