Two Kostanay-based media outlets — Nasha Gazeta and Kostanayskiye Novosti — were involved in the court proceedings on the case on protection of honour and dignity as third parties on the side of the defendant, not making independent claims. The lawsuit was initiated by a resident of the city A. Suleymenova against N. Kalasheva because of comments under the post «How an ambulance can go to the yard», published in the Instagram account of Nasha Gazeta. In it, Suleymenova talked about how the ambulance could not drive into the courtyard of residential buildings because of the closed barrier. In comments to the post, a user with the nickname «nelli.kst» called the video «staged» and also left several comments under a post on the same topic in the Kostanay_news account. On October 13, Suleymenova filed an application to increase the claims by involving as defendants the owners of media outlets — Tvoy Shans LLP and KOSTANAY MEDIA HOLDING LLP.
