The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow arrested SOTAvision correspondent Yevgeny Kurakin for 30 days under the article on repeated violation of the rules of holding a public event (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). Kurakin, along with other journalists and activists, was detained outside Tverskoy court after the verdict on the Mayakovsky case and taken to the Krasnoselsky police department. The court did not take into account that Kurakin had his press card and editorial assignment with him when he was detained. An ambulance was called to the police station.
