Relatives of the jailed director of Azerbaijan’s Kanal 13 internet TV channel, Aziz Orujov, said on December 21 that their credit cards, including cards for monthly pension payments, have been blocked. "Yesterday, a friend of ours sent me some money, so I could buy food for Aziz. But when I tried to withdraw money from the card, I couldn’t do it. I went to the bank and was told that the investigative department of the Sabail District Police Department arrested by bank account. Today, it turned out that access to Aziz’s mother’s pension card was also blocked. I have two small kids, my mother-in-law helped us, but now her pension card was blocked," - said wife of the Aziz Orujov, Lamia Orujova.
