The owner of the TV channel Channel One Eurasia — Eurasia+ORT TV LLP — was involved in the court proceedings as a third party, not making claims on the subject of the dispute, on the side of the defendant in the lawsuit for the protection of honour, dignity, and business reputation of Kabulova against Beysenbayev, a former teacher of school № 17 in the Dikhanbaba village of the Saryagash district. The reason for the court proceedings was a story aired on the TV channel in 2019 and Beysenbayev’s Facebook post.
