Polad Aslanov, founder and editor of the website xeberman.com, has been on hunger strike for five days in the medical centre of colony №1. According to his wife, he has a day of phone talks with his family on Monday, but is not allowed to contact his family. She learnt through unofficial channels from the colony that her husband's cigarettes and bottled water have also been taken away. All this was done to force him to give up his hunger strike.
