The owner of the website yeniavaz.az, Azərmedia LLC, has been fined AZN 1,500 for publication of material containing criticism. This decision was made by the Nasimi District Court of Baku on the basis of an administrative report submitted by the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to Azərmedia head Anar Garakhanchalla, on January 20, he was summoned to the Prosecutor General’s Office, where he was demanded to remove the link to the publication «Prosecutor’s Office: Tofig Yagublu brought himself to such a state by beating himself with his own fists» from the website yeniavaz.az on Facebook. According to Garakhanchalla, the claims of the Prosecutor General’s Office did not concern the content of the article, but its title and comments of users on Facebook.
