The editorial staff of inbusiness.kz received a pre-trial warning related to an article dated 10.09.2023. The article referred to court proceedings concerning Madi Otarbayev, the head of the state architectural and construction control of the West Kazakhstan Region. According to the publication, he was detained on Kazakhstan’s border with Kyrgyzstan. However, the claim asserts that this information is false. The author of the claim asks to refute this information. Nevertheless, the court decision used by the journalist during the writing of the article states that the anti-corruption service «suppressed an attempt to cross the border», which led to the change of the preventive measure to the arrest of M. Otarbayev.
