A new criminal case has been opened against Maria Ponomarenko, who is serving a six-year of jail sentence in the case of «military fakes», under the article on assault on colony staff (Part 2 of Article 321 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Ponomarenko has been in penal colony № 6 in the Altai Krai since May 2023, where she is constantly sent to a punishment cell and subjected to abuse.
