On October 29, Radio Azattyq reporter Ainur Saparova covered the meeting of an employee of the Atyrau Region Akimat with the Caspian Drilling LLP workers involved in drilling at the Yuzhno-Karaturinskoye field in the Mangistau Region. The Radio Azattyk reporter filmed his conversation with the workers on her phone. Seeing this, the employee of the department began to categorically object to the filming. He started to inquire who she was. When he learnt that Saparova was a journalist, he said that he had not invited the media. The reporter said that she had come here at the invitation of the workers and reminded him that he was a public servant and was currently at his workplace and that he was interfering with her professional activities by prohibiting her from filming. In response, the Akimat employee advised to sue him. The journalist filmed the footage she needed.
