Maria Ponomarenko, who is serving a six-year of jail sentence in penal colony of the Altai Krai in the case of «military fakes», was sent to a punishment cell for the third time in a row under a spurious pretext. The journalist has been in a punishment cell for more than a month. Since her arrest in April 2022, Ponomarenko has been subjected to ill-treatment, pressure, and abuse in the pre-trial detention centre and penal colony.
